There are some things in life you cannot explain. It was Thursday evening July 10. 2025 at 8:45 PM. I had just finished the first full draft of this book. I was sitting at the kitchen table, staring at my computer screen. The moment I finished the book I muttered to myself under my breath, “I can’t believe I finally finished it.”
The exact moment I said this, odd flashes of light began to appear on my computer screen. I could not understand what was happening. I then realized it was coming from above. I looked up at the Tiffany lamp hanging above the table, the one Susan had picked out. The lights in the lamp—controlled by a dimmer switch on the wall about five feet away—were flickering on and off in a completely erratic manner. There is one bulb in the center, and eight lights surrounding it in a candelabra design. Sometimes the center light would grow more intense and the perimeter lights go off. It was like watching the light fixture at a seance. I sat there dumbfounded, watching this as the show continued for one hour and fifteen minutes. I took videos with my iPhone camera during the event. I wasn’t drinking, and I don’t do drugs.
The whole thing was bizarre. It was as though someone was watching over my shoulder as I finished the book. I concluded it was Susan showing me how much she liked the book. I laughed.
Here are two links showing exactly what occurred.
What I didn’t notice at the time—because it wasn’t visible to the naked eye—was that there was a small green orb rising into the light and dancing around. It seemed to be sparking the activity. The camera picked it up, and you can see it clearly in the video.
The following two Thursday evenings, at almost the exact same time, the lights began to flicker again. These light shows lasted for about 15 minutes each. After the third show the dimmer switch for the light ceased to work.
If you want to hear about the little birds that come to visit (they say people often come back as birds) you will have to read Survivors when it is published.
