I know how you love roses
Any color any time
How you always like to plant them by the door
But the world keeps going faster
So little time for love and laughter
I don’t stop to smell the roses any more
You always tell me to bring roses
But I never have the time
‘Cause I always am the first one out the door
And because I don’t bring roses
You say what this really shows is
That I don’t really love you anymore
Bring me roses for no reason
Any time or any season
‘Cause you don’t need a reason to bring roses
But if there is a reason
Couldn’t be a better reason
Than the one that I am happy to suppose is
There’s no excuse not bringing roses
And to risk what it exposes
And she shouldn’t have to tell you anymore
Because what one never ever knows is
Although you can count the roses
Is the number of the days your have in store
So go out and get some roses
Help her plant them by the door
And remember who
You should be thankful for
Because one day
You might bring roses
Find what you can’t presuppose is
There’ll be no one
To bring roses anymore
Bring me roses for no reason
Any time or any season
‘Cause you don’t need a reason
To bring roses
But if there is a reason
Couldn’t be a better reason
Than the one that I am happy
To suppose is
