I’ve been thinking about Redford
Because he meant so much to me
And although I never knew him
A better man could never be
He touched our hearts and souls

With just one look or smile

He made us laugh
He made us cry
He gave us hope

He was among my greatest heroes In my life he’d always be
And he shared with us his talents
His greatest gift to you and me We couldn’t help but love him
Gave us more than he received
He was always helping others
Despite all he achieved
In my mind I can still see him
Living in my memory
Where he lives on instant replay
And forever he will be
He was one man in a zillion Another there will never be
A giant among men
Who will live eternally
He made us laugh
He made us cry
He gave us hope
He made us fly
He taught us how to treat each other
To be the best that we can be
To be kind to one another
And this is now his legacy
Now his star will shine forever
Beaming down on you and I
To the man called Robert Redford
We will never say goodbye
