“Our love will last forever”
My love once said to me
“I hope it’s true” she heard me say
“We’ll just have to wait and see”

Does true love live forever?
I pondered endlessly
It was then that I decided
To test fact or fantasy

I put a message in a bottle
I placed it in the sea
The message said “I love you
And forever will we be”
I watched the bottle float away
Thought I would never see
That message in a bottle
Come floating back to me

But then one day to my surprise
Whatever did I see?
That same enchanting bottle
Come floating back to me
I opened up the bottle
And teardrops filled my eyes
The message said “I love you too
And true love never dies”

She sent to me a message
I thought I would never see

They say love is forever
When it is meant to be
They say that true love never dies
But lives on endlessly
And you are always in my heart
No matter what might be
Like the message in the bottle
That brings you back to me
