Each and every one of us has someone that we love

Someone that we cherish who we hold so high above

All the other people that we’ve met throughout our life

Usually that person is a husband or a wife

We tell ourselves we can’t go on should that person ever go

We think we’ll be the first to leave in truth we never know

But then one day to our dismay we suddenly should find

We’re where we never thought we’d be the one who’s left behind

If the day should ever come that you’re the one who’s left behind

You’re certain that you can’t go on you’re sure you’ll never find

The strength to carry on to find new meaning in you life

And drown all of your sorrows free yourself from all the strife

There’s someone out there somewhere who is watching over you

Make them proud of who you are go out and make your dreams come true

Don’t give up hope continue on you’ll make it until then

And one day soon you’ll find the sun is shining once again

Though you may be alone now there’s still much you can achieve

If you tell yourself you can and in your heart you still believe

You were put here for a reason and you still can do great things

Go out and live your life and see what each tomorrow brings

If the day should ever come that you should find yourself alone

Just know that if you need to you can make it on your own

Remember there is someone who is watching over you

It’s all you need to know to let the sun come shining through
