But I can’t accept this vision

Imagine that the world was filled
With peace and harmony

And where all people can be free
Do you think a world like I describe
Can ever come to be?
Isn’t this what God intended
For our common destiny?
If only love can conquer hate
If all people could be free
We could have the kind of world
That this world was meant to be
What can we do to save the world
And for all war to cease?
When it’s clear that only love
Can bring a lasting peace
Why can’t we all just get along?
And to one family belong?
Cooperation is the key
A better world for you and me
Is it too late to save the world?
Can we find a place to start?
Will we ever solve the problems
That are tearing us apart?
If we all could join together
And fight for the greater good
Then this ever spinning world
Can be the place we thought it could
If we could all just get along
And learn to sing a common song
Then maybe love could conquer hate
Before the hour is too late
If only love can conquer hate
If all people could be free
We could have the kind of world
That this world was meant to be
What can we do to save the world
