I just met an angel
I can’t believe it’s true
No ordinary angel
She happens to be you
My head is in a tizzy
My heart is pounding too
‘Cause I’m halfway to heaven
And a dream come true

Went lookin’ for an angel
And somehow I found you
Now I’m halfway to heaven
I’m in love with you

How do you find an angel?
Is there one out there for you?
If you want to find an angel
Here is what to do
Throw a penny in a fountain
Make a wish upon a star
You can find a pretty angel
Almost anywhere you are

Halfway to Heaven
Standing where you are
Love can take you higher
Than the highest star

Went lookin’ for an angel
And somehow I found you
Now I’m halfway to heaven
I’m in love with you
