They told me that I am a genius
A financial success I would be
Been running the race
And keeping the pace
But little success do I see

The reason for this is quite simple
It’s all just as plain as can be
My lack of success
This impossible mess
Is ‘cause everything happens to me

Everything happens to me
Yes, everything happens to me
There’s no single cause
Don’t break any laws
But everything happens to me

I’m changing the rules as I’m going
It won’t take me too long to see
No matter the quest
I’ll give it my best
I’ll do everything differently

This clearly must be the solution
My A game is what I will bring
What pops in my head
I’ll reject and instead
I’ll do just the opposite thing

Everything happens to me
Yes, everything happens to me
I’m gonna be great
It’s never too late
‘Cause everything happens to me.
