A Rose In The Snow
Lyrics by Hal Pollock
One single red rose
At a table for two
That beautiful rose
That led me to you
I found a rose in the snow
Picked it up by the stem
Alongside were some footprints
And I followed them
A trail that led me
Right up to your door
A vision of loveliness not seen before
“Excuse me my lady
But is this your rose?”
You smiled and answered
“Well it is I suppose”
I was hopin’ you’d find it
I left it for you
Now dinner is ready
A table for two
One single red rose
At a table for two
That beautiful rose
That led me to you
There was a vase on the table
She inserted the rose
Along with the others
The place where it goes
We sat down for dinner
Love took us away
At that table for two
I knew I would stay
One single red rose
That brought me to you
That beautiful rose
When one heart became two
Roses don’t normally grow in the snow
Most blossom in springtime
And they come and they go
If you happen to find one
A rose in the snow
Just follow the trail wherever it goes
That one single rose
That I found at the start
Was the place we began
And the path to my heart
That beautiful rose
That led me to you
And our story of love
At a table for two
