They say that every person
Gets fifteen minutes of fame
One moment in the spotlight
When the world will know their name
I’ve spent my whole life wonderin’
If I ever would get mine
When 15 minutes of fame
Would be my 15 minutes to shine

15 minutes
That’s all you get
If you’re the chosen one
15 minutes
Just one time
Your moment in the sun

It doesn’t happen by itself
It takes a burning fire inside
Hard work and perseverance
To refuse to be denied
I’ll get back up and try again
Cause I know I’ll get mine
Till then I’m gonna hone my skills
And wait until it’s time

Fifteen minutes can come your way
If you play out the string
You never know how far you’ll go
And what your life will bring
So if you get a chance to shine
You must be ready then
Don’t blow your shot it’s all you’ve got
It won’t come ‘round again

15 minutes
That’s all you get
If you’re the chosen one
15 minutes
Just one time
Your moment in the sun

I persevered and then one day
I finally got my shot
And now it’s time to show the world
Exactly what I’ve got
So keep the faith and don’t lose hope
For there may come a time
You’ll tell the world “Hey look at me”
“This fifteen minutes is mine”
